ISLAMABAD:Federal Minister for Power Khurram Dastgir Khan has directed K-electric to ensure power supply during water supply hours to maintain water provision in all areas of Karachi.
He was talking to members of National Assembly from Karachi including Abdul Qadir Patel, Jam Abdul Karim Bijar, Kishwar Zehra, Syed Agha Rafiullah, Usama Qadri, and Qadir Khan Mandokhel who called on him here in Islamabad on Tuesday. The Minister said K-electric should look into the matter of over billing and ensure that unjust billing is curtailed. The meeting discussed the issues faced by people of Karachi with K-electric.
The major concerns raised by members National Assembly were unscheduled load shedding, over billing, disruption in water supply due to power outages. On the proposal of MNA Abdul Qadir Patel, the meeting decided to constitute a committee to build liaison between elected representatives and K-electric.
