Ensuring Child Rights and Child Protection Vital for Bright Future of our nation: NA Deputy Speaker 

Islamabad, November 23, 2021 (PPI-OT):Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri that research based legislation is the best possible policy intervention to bring reforms and realizing the dream of social welfare objectives. He said that willingness, preparedness and prioritizing the goals are pre-requisites for Young Parliamentarians to have informed Policy initiatives for ensuring child rights and child protection in the country.

He said that Pakistani children have the capabilities and potential to change the fate of this country. He expressed these views while witnessing a Signing Ceremony of MoU among Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF), Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPs) and National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC) on “Legal Framework for Child Rights and Child Protection in Pakistan” in Parliament House today.

Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri said that children are vulnerable part of our population and they need special care of the society. He said that incumbent Parliament is fully cognizant of this fact and have passed number of legislation for protection of child rights. Secretary YPF Uzma Riaz said that initiatives of YPF, PIPS and NCRC to ensure protection of child and ensuring all fundamental rights for their growth. The MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by MNA Uzma Riaz, Chairperson NCRC and Representative of PIPS.
