Pakistan’s Ambassador in Brussels, Rahim Hayat, met with the Permanent Observer of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Abdulkhaleq Ali Saeed Al Yafei, to highlight India’s ongoing misinformation regarding the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The ambassador underscored the importance of accurate representation and the challenges posed by India’s narrative.
During the meeting here, Hayat expressed gratitude to the OIC for the recent visit of the Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir, Ambassador Yousef M. Al Dobeay, to Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The visit reaffirmed the OIC’s commitment to supporting the Kashmiri people’s cause.
Discussion also extended to the situation in Palestine, with both parties agreeing on the need for enhanced cooperation in Brussels. Ambassador Hayat further engaged with the Permanent Representative of Croatia to the European Union, Irena Andrassy, where they exchanged views on regional and global dynamics, emphasizing the importance of Pakistan-EU relations.
