On the occasion of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, in a message today, Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi emphasized the crucial role of modern telecommunication systems in uniting the global community.
Governor Hashmi highlighted the indispensability of information technology and digital connectivity for progress in education and economic development. He termed the government initiative to equip youth with digital skills through the Prime Minister’s Youth Program as a significant mission.
He stated that considering the vast potential in Pakistan’s IT and telecommunication sector, extending public access to digital resources is an urgent need.
The Governor also noted that the administration is actively promoting modern digital infrastructure and technology. He said that the aim of World Telecommunication Day is to highlight the importance of digital connectivity and information technology.
