Islamabad, September 05, 2020 (PPI-OT): Capital Development Authority (CDA) will establish a Food Laboratory in Islamabad in collaboration with Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration. In this connection a meeting was held in the office of Chairman, CDA which was attended by Deputy Commissioner (ICT), Xen Local Government and other officers of CDA and ICT.
ICT Administration has prepared a PC-I worth 300 million for establishment first of a kind laboratory with mobile labs as well for Islamabad. The chairman directed that the meeting of CDA-DWP to be called next week for considering this project. This project is essential of testing quality of food in the City. The government has also directed that quality of food is to be ensured. Thus establishment of lab was an essentially requirement. ICT has already secured approval of staff in this context and the law in this regard is in process of approval.
