THARPARKAR: The son of former chief minister Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim was injured in an attacked allegedly by PPP activists in Tharparkar during local government elections on Sunday.

According to a report, Arbab Inayatullah was attacked at the Bacho Bhoot polling station in Kaloi area of Mithi. The GDA leaders accused the PPP men of attacking Arbab’s son. The tense situation prevailed in the area following the attack on the GDA leader.

Several incidents of violence happened in Sindh today during the polling for the first phase of local government elections held in 14 districts of the Sindh province including Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Sanghar, Naushehro Feroze, Kanbar-ShahdadKot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kahmor, Ghoki and Khairpur.
