Exchange Rates in Pakistan Show Minor Fluctuations

Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) released the latest open market currency exchange rates, indicating minor fluctuations in the buying and selling rates of major international currencies as of January 26, 2026. The data reflects the continued volatility in the currency market, which impacts traders and consumers alike.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the U.S. dollar was being bought at 280.25 PKR and sold at 280.96 PKR, showing a modest change in comparison to previous rates. The euro was listed with a buying rate of 331.97 PKR and a selling rate of 335.15 PKR. The British pound was set at 382.49 PKR for buying and 385.92 PKR for selling.

Other currencies, such as the Japanese yen, had a buying rate of 1.79 PKR and a selling rate of 1.86 PKR. The United Arab Emirates dirham was noted at 76.53 PKR for buying and 77.29 PKR for selling, while the Saudi riyal was marked at 74.81 PKR for buying and 75.40 PKR for selling.

These rates are intended for informational purposes and reflect the exchange conditions as reported by the ECAP. The currency market continues to be monitored closely by financial institutions and stakeholders within the country.
