KARACHI:Excise Police Karachi on Monday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler in a major operation and recovered 14 kg hashish from his possession.
According to the excise department statement, Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer SM Sadeqain, along with his team, raided an area near Ghulaman-e-Abbas School on Mauripur Road and recovered 14 kg hashish from Toyota Hilux number KN-5542 while accused Dadullah was arrested and a case has been registered against him.
Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs, has said that the action taken by the Excise Police against drug peddlers in Karachi was commendable and he had also directed the officers to intensify action against drug peddlers to protect the younger generation from the harmful effects of drugs.
