KARACHI: Excise Police District West said Friday that they, during an operation led by Inspector Syed Fayyaz Shah, recovered 15 kg high quality hashish.
According to excise police report, the seized hashish is said to be worth millions of rupees. In the operation, two accused Khalilullah and Syed Siraj were arrested. The hashish was recovered from Suzuki pickup number KB-5104.
The accused were nabbed from Old Golimar Manghopir Road. The vehicle has been impounded and a case has been registered against the accused and investigation is underway. Meanwhile Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Department and Parliamentary Affairs and Food, has congratulated on the successful operation and said that strict action would be taken against drug peddlers and all stakeholders of the society are supposed to work on the same page to eradicate drugs.
