Several people, including a woman and children, were injured in an explosion in a residential building in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area on Saturday.
A severe fire broke out in the building located near Ayaz Town in Block 02 immediately after the explosion. Edhi ambulances were dispatched to the scene to provide immediate medical assistance.
The injured have been moved to the Civil Hospital Burns Centre for treatment.
Five injured have been identified as 28-year-old Mohsin son of Ghulam Shabbir, his 25-year-old wife Shumaila, and his brothers 18-year-old Abdullah, 25-year-old Ahmed and 13-year-old Hamza.
Emergency services are trying to control the situation while rescue and relief operations are underway at the scene.
