According to a statement issued by Islamabad Police today, law enforcement authorities have detained four Afghan nationals and 88 other suspects for legal action after extensive search operations in the federal capital.
Supervised by zonal SPs, the operations were carried out within the jurisdictions of multiple police stations. Official figures indicate a total of 2,679 individuals were checked, along with detailed inspections of 1,113 houses, 338 shops, and 98 hotels.
Authorities also examined 958 motorcycles and 356 vehicles, resulting in 74 motorcycles being impounded and transferred to police stations for further investigation.
SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasised that the primary goal of these measures is to constrict the operational space for criminal elements and to fortify the city’s overall security apparatus.
He affirmed that the Islamabad Police force would maintain its indiscriminate campaign against criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers.
The SSP also appealed to residents to cooperate with law enforcement and to report any unusual activity promptly to the nearest police station or through the ‘Pucar-15’ emergency helpline.
