Quetta: Extraordinary security measures were taken in Mastung and other towns on the occasion of the Independence Day.
Last evening at least one person was killed and three others injured in bomb blast and firing incidents took place in Mastung, Nushki and Turbat.
According to police, a bomb planted in a motorcycle went off near the convoy of security forces in Absir area of Turbat on Thursday, However, security forces remained unhurt. The blast was followed by firing as a result one passerby, identified as Muhammad Hayat, was killed.
Separately, unidentified pillion riders threw hand grenade at a shop in Mastung. Resultantly three persons including a woman sustained injuries. Rescue workers rushed injured to Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Hospital Mastung. Separately, a bomb went off near a vehicle of security forces near Killi Mengal area of Nushki, However, security personnel remained unhurt.
