SHIKARPUR: A father and his two sons were gunned down in police mobile within the jurisdiction of Chak police station near Shikarpur on Friday.

According to police, an armed clash took place between two rival groups of Badani Jatoi and Shar communities at village Bichangi within the jurisdiction of Chak Police station. As a result, youngster Ali Hassan Jatoi received bullet injuries.

The area police rushed to the scene and was shifting the injured to Taluka Hospital Lakhi, accompanied by his father Shahmeer Ali and his son Naveed Ali Badani.

But, a group of armed men belonging to Shar Community equipped with automatic weapons intercepted the police mobile on the way to the hospital and opened fire on them, leaving Ali Hassan Badani aged 22, his father Shahmeer Badani aged 65 and younger brother Naveed Ahmed Badani aged 15 dead.

The victim Badani Jatoi people said that police did nothing as their beloved persons were gunned down in front of them. The attackers fled after swift operation.

Police shifted the bodies to Taluka Hospital Lakhi for medico-legal formalities. The cause behind the murder was stated to be an old enmity between the Badani Jatoi clan and Shar community over the murder of one villager Jalal Shar in Sukkur few months ago. No FIR was registered till late evening.
