The federal government is set to prioritize Balochistan in its upcoming Public Sector Development Program (PSDP), allocating a larger share of funds to the province than to others, according to Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal.

During a joint news conference with Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Iqbal revealed that the Balochistan government is a vital partner in the “Uraan Pakistan” initiative, and both parties are committed to working collaboratively on project completion.

He underscored the importance of Balochistan, citing its untapped mineral wealth, and noted that with strategic planning, it holds the potential to become one of the richest regions in the country.
