The Meteorological Department has forecasted generally hot and dry weather in most parts of the country today, while major weather activities will remain limited in specific areas.
Residents in the northeastern parts of Punjab, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas may experience strong winds and intermittent rain with thunderstorms. These local weather conditions may provide relief from otherwise dry weather.
This morning, temperature readings in major urban centers indicated varying weather in different regions. The capital Islamabad recorded a mild 24 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Lahore was warmer in the morning at 27 degrees Celsius, and Karachi observed the highest morning temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. In Peshawar, the temperature was 29 degrees Celsius, which was slightly cooler.
In contrast, both Quetta and Muzaffarabad observed a refreshing 20 degrees Celsius, while Murree, known for its cool weather, recorded 15 degrees Celsius, reflecting its higher altitude and unique weather pattern.
The current conditions are expected to persist, with no significant changes anticipated in the immediate future, except in the aforementioned areas where stormy weather is likely. Residents are advised to stay updated with local forecasts for any sudden weather changes.
