Four gunned down, four injured in dispute between uncles and nephews

LARKANA: A bloody dispute between two groups of Jatoi community claimed four, lives including a woman and a child, and injured four others in the riverine areas of Larkana and Khairpur Mirs.

According to the injured who were brought to the Emergency Department of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) dispute between uncles and nephews started over old enmity in village Pahinja in the Katcha area and both groups used sophisticated weapons against each other due to which Imtiaz Jatoi, Amin Jatoi and three-year child Ihsan son of Azam Jatoi were gunned down instantly and Sohni wife of Amin Jatoi, Hanif Jatoi and others were injured. They were rushed to the CMCH Casualty by the villagers in critical condition where Sohni also died.

The heirs of the deceased on the occasion said that Muhammad Nawaz Jatoi was killed three months ago on Bunder Road in Larkana over old enmity for which his son Imtiaz accused his uncles Amin and Azim Jatoi for being involved and he started firing today. They said four people have been gunned down and four others have been injured in the dispute today.

They demanded arrest of the accused. They also complained that due to a dispute between Larkana and Khairpur police over jurisdiction, dead bodies were lying at the site for hours and the injured could not be shifted timely to CMCH for treatment.
