KHAIRPUR: Four minor girls drowned in a pond in Pir Manghio area in Khairpur district on Saturday.

According to police, the four girls were swimming in a pond in Pir Manghio area in Khairpur district when they drowned. The people pulled out their bodies and shifted them to a local hospital where doctors declared them dead.

Those drowned were identified as Shahida, Sobia, Naila, and Surayya. All drowned girls belong to Kalhoro clan. A mourning atmosphere prevailed in the houses of victims. The police have lodged a report and started a probe into the incident.
