Srinagar, September 18, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat forum has expressed shock and grief at another gruesome killing by Indian troops in the territory. Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that after the killing of a 24-year-old youth from Sopore in police custody, a 45-year-old woman from Batamaloo, Kauser Sofi, was killed by Indian troops.
It said that the incidents of killing of innocent Kashmiris by the Indian forces’ personnel continued unabated for the past thirty years. Welcoming the statement of UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, in which he reiterated his stance on the resolution of Kashmir dispute, the Hurriyat forum said that peaceful resolution of the dispute could end human rights violations in IIOJK besides bringing prosperity and development in the entire south Asian region.
