Gandawa Business Shut Down After Major Goldsmith Robbery

A substantial theft of gold and silver from a jewellery outlet in Jhal Magsi has triggered widespread business closures in Gandawa, following protests by the local Hindu community. Unidentified assailants are reported to have absconded with 5 tolas of gold and 200 tolas of silver, alongside other valuable possessions.

The meticulously planned break-in occurred on Tuesday at Shahanshah Bukhari Goldsmith’s shop, situated in the Shahi Bazaar area of Gandawa, within Balochistan’s Jhal Magsi district. The perpetrators forcibly entered the premises by tampering with the locks, according to a report today.

Seth Lal Chand, the proprietor of the burgled establishment, indicated that the total financial impact of the incident is yet to be fully ascertained.

Subsequent to the incident, the local Hindu community initiated protests, resulting in the closure of commercial centres throughout Gandawa.

Law enforcement agencies have commenced an inquiry into the matter, with a concerted search for the alleged offenders currently underway.
