LARKANA: A girl and a boy died in different incidents near Larkana on Thursday.
A 12-year girl Farzana, daughter of Qurban Bugti was electrocuted to death from a water motor pump in Lal Bux Bugti village near Larkana. She was rushed to Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where doctors confirmed her death. The heirs told newsmen that due to monsoon rains electricity was put off for a few days and when it was restored today, Farzana ran to put the motor for water, resultantly, she received severe electric shocks and died.
In another incident, a 16-year boy, Abdul Jabbar, son of Abdul Razaq Wadho, drowned in a fish pond in Muhammad Ilyas Wadho village of Garhi Yasin Taluka, where he had gone to take bath to beat the heat.
He was shifted to CMCH. Duty doctors confirmed his death after examining him. His father Razaq told newsmen that Jabbar had gone to sow paddy seedlings at a field after which he went to take bath in the nearby fish pond due to hot weather where he drowned. He said after rescuing him he was rushed to CMCH but he could survive.
