The local gold market saw a significant increase in the prices of gold and silver on Wednesday. The price of 24 karat per tola gold reached a new high of Rs 528,562 after an increase of Rs 2,300.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 1,972 to Rs 453,156. While the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold also increased by Rs 1,808, closing at Rs 415,408.
This surge in the local bullion market reflects global developments. In the international market, the value of gold traded at $5,058 with an increase of $23.
Silver also followed a similar trend, and a significant increase was seen in its value. Domestically, the price of 24 karat per tola silver increased by Rs 120 to Rs 8,735.
Following this, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver rose by Rs 103 to Rs 7,488. In the global market, the price of silver reached $82.60 after an increase of $1.20.
