Islamabad, September 17, 2020 (PPI-OT): President Dr. Arif Alvi says the government is committed to enhance and promote the country’s exports by removing all the obstacles. He expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of Lahore Chamber Export Trophy 2020, in Islamabad on Thursday.
The President stressed the need for utilizing Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence in the agriculture sector to increase the agricultural yield. He said diversification of exports and value addition in the crops are of vital importance. He said honesty, ethics and morality are imperative to provide boost to the trade related activities in the country.
He said investment in the IT sector is very essential to achieve the goals of country’s fast-paced development. The President said we will also have to bring the industry and academia together. The President said IT sector is a best sector, where the women have opportunity to work from home and excel in their lives. He said peace in Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan, which will definitely prove helpful in enhancing the country’s exports as well.
