Government of Sindh is ready to cooperate with industrialists at all levels: Jam Ikram Ullah Dharejo

Karachi, October 23, 2019 (PPI-OT): Minister for Industries and Commerce and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has said that the role of industrialists in the development and in eradicating unemployment in the province is very important. Industrialists should come forward and establish industries in other areas of Sindh. The Government of Sindh will cooperate with them at all levels and provide concessions too. This he said while addressing as a chief guest at the lunch, organized by Korangi Association Trade and Industries Karachi (KATI).

Prominent industrialists including former Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Secretary Industries and Commerce Naseem Al-Ghani Shatto, Sheikh Omar Rehan President KATI, Gulzar Feroz, Zubair Chahaya, Akram Rajput, Syed Wajid Hussein also attended the ceremony. Provincial Minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo added that the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) had played a significant role in the national economy and it is hoped that it would expand its role in this regard. He said, ‘ He is fully aware of the problems faced by business community and it is also a fact that without industrial development, real development is not possible.

Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that Sindh province has a very important role in the country’s economy and Pakistan has about 4474 industries, out of which 34% in Sindh. Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that Sindh province produces 15% of wheat, 42% of rice, 31%, cotton 23%, and 28% of livestock. Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that the government of Sindh is ready to cooperate with industrialists and businessmen at all levels. If the government and business community work together, better results will come.

He said that Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari seeks promotion of industrial activities in Sindh and directs that industrialists’ problems be resolved on priority basis. Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo invited the Industrialists to come forward and set up industries in other parts of the province. The Sindh government will give them concessions.

“We will work together to bridge the gap between industrialists and government representatives,” he said. He assured the industrialists that a committee would be set up to address their problems comprising of Industrialists and officials concerned so that government affairs could be handled well. On the occasion, Provincial Minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo asked the Secretary Industries and Commerce to form a committee as soon as possible.
