Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has announced that a Quantum Valley is being established in Islamabad to foster a strong science and technology ecosystem in the country.
Speaking at an event in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said the Quantum Valley would act as the ‘Silicon Valley of the future,’ bringing together entrepreneurs, academics, and venture capitalists under one platform.
The minister emphasized that Pakistan must position itself as a global leader in advanced technologies, moving beyond traditional roles. He pointed out that the country should not be confined to providing coding and programming services for others but instead focus on developing innovative products through indigenous research and development.
Ahsan Iqbal stressed that this initiative would lay the foundation for knowledge-driven economic growth and enable Pakistan to compete in the global technology arena.
