Islamabad, December 05, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Governor of Gilgit Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon called on the Foreign Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today. The Governor briefed the Foreign Minister on the developmental work being carried out in Gilgit Baltistan and the substantive changes taking place in the lives of the people, due to the positive measures taken by the Government. He thanked the Government for the comprehensive support that Gilgit Baltistan was getting.
The Foreign Minister assured him that the Government of Pakistan would go all the way to ensure the uplift and human development of the people of Gilgit Baltistan on priority. He informed the Governor that positive steps were being taken by the Government of Pakistan to empower the people of Gilgit Baltistan, especially the grant of provisional provincial status.
