Governor KP meets Ambassador of EU to Pakistan

PESHAWAR: Ambassador of the European Union(EU) to Pakistan Ms. Androulla Kaminara calls on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman at Governor House Peshawar.

 

The meeting discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral and trade relations between the European Union and Pakistan. During the meeting, discussions were held on enhancing partnership in various fields, especially cooperative farming and small cooperatives. Investment and exports in the production of olives, dried fruits and saffron in the agricultural sector were also discussed.

 

Governor Shah Farman said KP is a province rich in natural resources and the sectors of agriculture, minerals and tourism are very attractive for the EU for investment and partnership projects.

 

He said peace in Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan and the region. He urged the international community to devise a comprehensive policy for the relief and rehabilitation of the Afghan people severely affected by the unrest in Afghanistan. He said relief and rehabilitation projects can bring lasting peace and prosperity to region.
