Sindh Governor Syed Nehal Hashmi has said that Sindh is Pakistan’s most important and attractive province for investment, trade, and industrial activities, while the government is taking practical measures to facilitate investors.
He said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is a shining example of mutual trust, development, and brotherly relations, and such visits will further strengthen trade, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries, according to a statement today.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of China’s IBI International Group at Governor House. The Chinese delegation was led by IBI International Group Co-Founder LIU ZHAI. The delegation also included Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry leader Mian Zahid Hussain, and others.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on investment opportunities in Sindh, industrial development, improvement of ports, digitalization, and promotion of modern technology. Governor Sindh Syed Nehal Hashmi said that the private sector is playing a key role in economic stability, job creation, and technological advancement. Discussions also focused on IT, infrastructure, energy, modernization of ports, and strengthening Pakistan-China economic cooperation.
Governor Sindh Syed Nehal Hashmi invited Chinese investors to take advantage of the vast opportunities available in Sindh, stating that the province is providing a favorable environment for investment and the government will extend full cooperation to investors.
IBI International Group Co-Founder LIU ZHAI said that valuable foreign exchange can be generated by utilizing Pakistan’s coastline, ports, and maritime resources effectively. She also offered the group’s advanced technology and services for the digitalization of ports.
The delegation offered to further expand annual exchange programs for engineering and technology experts and expressed willingness to support the digital transformation of Pakistan’s economy through modern technology. LIU ZHAI emphasized creating new opportunities for economic growth and technological advancement through public-private partnerships and appreciated Governor Sindh Syed Nehal Hashmi’s leadership and efforts to promote a business-friendly and investment-oriented environment in the province.
The head of the delegation also invited Governor Sindh Syed Nehal Hashmi to visit Beijing. Governor Sindh thanked the delegation and said that they should consider Sindh Governor House as their second home.
