Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nahal Hashmi said that engaging youth in positive activities is a key need of the time, adding that scouts play a role in the training of young people.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of the Sindh Boy Scouts Association at the Governor House.
The delegation was led by Provincial Commissioner Sindh Boy Scouts Justice (R) Hasan Feroz. Matters related to the organization of a scouts jamboree and other issues were discussed during the meeting.
The governor said that scouting serves as a source for promoting discipline, leadership, and patriotism. He added that the Governor House will provide support for the promotion of scouts activities.
Former Chief Secretary Sindh Siddiq Memon said that the oath-taking ceremony of the Governor Sindh as Chief Commissioner of Sindh Boy Scouts will be held soon.
Justice (R) Hasan Feroz said that the Sindh Boy Scouts Association was established in 1926 and that events are being held this year to mark 100 years.
The delegation presented a scarf and badge to the governor to mark the completion of 100 years.
Siddiq Memon presented a shield to the Governor Sindh on behalf of the Sindh Boy Scouts Association.
Provincial Secretary Akhtar Mir presented a performance report of the association to the governor.
