Governor Urges Swift Action on Metropolitan Challenges, Underscores Global Economic Role

Governor Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, today underscored the paramount importance of tackling persistent urban challenges, including traffic congestion, inadequate sanitation, and illegal encroachments, directing that effective measures be ensured to address public concerns swiftly. He also remarked that positioning the bustling metropolis prominently on the global economic map is a collective responsibility.

Governor Hashmi conveyed these sentiments during a recent meeting with Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, which took place at the Governor House. He stressed that the Commissioner must guarantee enhanced collaboration among all pertinent municipal and administrative institutions across the city.

During their detailed discussion, Commissioner Naqvi apprised the Governor on various critical areas, including traffic management strategies, public cleanliness initiatives, civic facilities, and current undertakings within the urban landscape. Issues concerning metropolitan difficulties, ongoing development projects, and administrative affairs were also extensively deliberated.

The Governor specifically mandated that decisive actions be implemented to resolve the citizenry”s problems. He further highlighted that alleviating traffic jams, upgrading public hygiene, and removing illegal constructions are of vital consequence.

Governor Hashmi additionally pointed out that development projects receiving funding from the federal government would yield significant advantages for the residents of the city.
