QUETTA: MNA Moulana Abdul Wasay, Provincial Ameer, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), has said that the present government was responsible for the bacwardess of Balochistan.
In a statement issued here on Friday, he said that if harassment of business community in the name of lockdown was started, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and other opposition parties would commence protest movement against the government.
He said that Balochistan was already in the grip of extreme poverty and backwardness, hence, harassment of the business community in the name of lockdown must be stopped. He said that in governmental gatherings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) against COVID-19 pandemic were not being observed while masses and business community were being forced to implement SOPs.
He added that the whole world had provided relief to the business community, but here the government was adding to the miseries of the business community rather than providing relief to them.
He said that the role of the business community in the economy of the county was like a backbone, hence, it was not right to harass them. He said that JUI (F) appealed to the provincial government to extend cooperation to business community and business activities be allowed to continue till chand rat. He concluded if force was used against the business community, JUI (F) would participate in the protest movement of the business community.
