LARKANA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh President and Senator Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said Tuesday that they would not get involved in Imran Khan’s threats and blackmailing.

PPP is always ready to go to the public for election and the constitutional government will complete its tenure, he said in his statement. Khuhro said that they would not be blackmailed by anyone and the decision of the general elections would be made only with the consultation of the alliance.

He said they had saved the country from default by taking hard decisions, addubg PPP was ready to go to the people. He said that if Imran Khan wanted early elections, then he should dissolve the KPK Assembly, but it could not be done if only the National Assembly is dissolved as the fate of all general seats in the country would be decided on the basis of winning 15 seats of Punjab. He said that Imran Khan was targeting the Election Commission and institutions to put pressure on the reserved verdict of PTI’s foreign funding case so that this decision could be stopped.

Khuhro stated that before the by-elections in Punjab, Imran Khan was accusing the Election Commission, the establishment and the government of rigging to defeat the PTI candidates, but now he should apologize to them. He said that Imran Khan was trying to take PTI’s politics out of the ventilator and blackmail the institutions based on his false statement.

He said that Imran Khan’s lack of confidence in the Chief Election Commissioner was actually the fear of admitting foreign funding and a possible decision against him, so we demand the Election Commission to overcome the pressure of Imran Khan immediately and announce the PTI’s foreign funding case verdict. He said that 20 seats belonged to PTI in Punjab, out of which PTI had lost 5 seats and after losing 5 seats, PTI was celebrating with joy.

He said that the reason for the flight of the dollar reaching 224 rupees in the open market was political instability in the country, for which Imran Khan was also responsible, as he had created political instability in the country.

Khuhro said that the People’s Party had not yet made a final decision on the names of the candidates for mayor, district council and town committee chairmen in Sindh and there was no truth in the names of the candidates in this regard. He said that after the approval of the party leadership, the names of the candidates for mayor, district council and town committee chairpersons in Sindh would be officially announced when the final decision is made.
