Haleem demands exemplary punishment in Minteha-Kulsoom murder cases

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh today expressed profound grief and outrage over the tragic incidents involving nine-year-old Minteha in Sargodha and three-year-old Kulsoom in Karachi’s Quaidabad area, stating that these horrific crimes have shaken the conscience of the entire nation.

In a statement, Haleem said that the brutal abuse and murder of innocent girls had raised serious questions about the performance of state institutions and underscored the urgent need for effective reforms in the existing child protection system.

He said that the barbaric incidents involving two innocent children in Quaidabad and Sargodha had deeply shocked not only the nation but humanity as a whole.

Haleem maintained that the perpetrators behind the crimes against Minteha and Kulsoom, as well as any facilitators involved, deserved no leniency. He said that individuals capable of committing such heinous acts against innocent children had forfeited their right to be considered members of a civilised society and must face the harshest punishment under the law.

He stressed that the failure to ensure the safety of young girls was not only a challenge for the government but also a matter of grave concern for society as a whole. He said that the protection of children was the foremost responsibility of the state and that if innocent children could not feel safe, it reflected a serious failure of the system that required immediate attention.

The PTI Sindh president called for the immediate arrest of those responsible for the murder of three-year-old Kulsoom in Quaidabad and demanded transparent investigations to ensure justice for the affected families. He urged the authorities to expedite legal proceedings and impose exemplary punishments on those found guilty of crimes against children.

Haleem further said that PTI Sindh stood in solidarity with the families of Minteha and Kulsoom and shared their grief during this difficult time.

He prayed for the departed souls and asked Almighty Allah to grant Minteha and Kulsoom the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and bestow patience and strength upon their bereaved families.
