HBL Zarai Services Limited has initiated its operations in Sindh, introducing advanced mechanization services that are already helping local cultivators significantly cut post-harvest wastage and save days of manual labor.
According to HBL report today, the expansion marks a major development for the region”s agricultural sector, promising enhanced productivity and profitability for the farming community.
The formal launch took place at a ceremony in Dad Leghari, Mirpur Mathelo, attended by nearly 500 agriculturalists and local dignitaries. Amer Aziz, CEO of HBL Zarai Services Limited, addressed the gathering, outlining the company”s vision for fostering inclusive agricultural growth through modern solutions.
“HBL Zarai is committed to transforming Pakistan’s agriculture through innovation, technology, and trust,” stated Aziz. He emphasized that the company”s entry into Sindh is a core part of its mission to bring quality agri services directly to growers, enabling them to improve their yields and operational sustainability.
Engineer Sardar Abdul Bari Khan Pitafi, a respected community leader and agri-livestock specialist, welcomed the initiative. He remarked that access to mechanization, quality inputs, and professional support would make a tangible difference in local farming practices. “We look forward to working closely with HBL Zarai for the progress of our region,” Pitafi added.
The company has established its first “Zarai Dera”-a full-service agricultural hub-in Dad Leghari, which is set to become fully functional in the coming months. Its mechanization offerings are already operational and have received an overwhelmingly positive response from local farmers, who have expressed strong satisfaction with the efficiency and quality of the service. Sales of agricultural inputs have also shown encouraging early growth.
Looking ahead, HBL Zarai plans to broaden its footprint in the province by setting up additional “Zarai Deras” and “Zarai Dost Shops”-village-level retail outlets-in key agricultural centers such as Shikarpur and Larkana. Company teams are currently deployed in the area to provide continuous advisory support to cultivators.
This expansion signifies a key operational milestone for the agricultural services company, which was established in early 2024. The move aligns with its broader strategy to drive agricultural excellence and financial inclusion for Pakistan”s farming communities by offering comprehensive solutions from advisory to crop procurement.
