Hot and humid conditions are expected to persist across most of Balochistan, the Meteorological Department Quetta Regional Center reported Tuesday. However, some respite is anticipated in the form of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms in several districts. These include Loralai, Barkhan, Kohlu, Zhob, Musakhel, Ziarat, Harnai, Sibbi, and Khuzdar. Naseerabad and Kila Saifullah districts may experience partly cloudy skies and occasional drizzle.
Over the next 48 hours, the predominantly hot and humid weather will continue across the province. Isolated light rain and thunderstorms are predicted for Musakhel, Barkhan, and Khuzdar districts, primarily during the evening and night. Quetta, Mastung, Kharan, Chaghai, and Washuk districts are expected to experience dry conditions with dust-laden winds.
During the past 24 hours, Ziarat recorded 3.5 mm of rainfall. Temperature extremes were observed across various locations. Turbat experienced the highest temperature at 43.5°C and a low of 29.0°C. Other notable high temperatures include Uthal (41.0°C), Nokkundi (40.0°C), Labella (39.5°C), Dalbandin (39.0°C), and Usta Muhammad (39.0°C). Quetta city recorded a high of 35.0°C and a low of 22.0°C, while the surrounding areas like Samungli, Brewery, and Sariab experienced slightly varying temperatures.
