The Sindh High Court Circuit Bench on Monday reserved its decision on a crucial application seeking the transfer of the Dr. Shah Nawaz Kumbhar murder case from an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) to a regular sessions court.
The application was filed by two of the accused nominated in the case, Sub-Inspector Inayat Ali Zardari and Sub-Inspector Danish Ahmed Bhatti. Their plea requests the removal of the anti-terrorism clause from the First Information Report (FIR) and a subsequent change in the trial’s jurisdiction.
The hearing on the application was held at the Mirpurkhas High Court, where legal arguments from both sides were presented before the bench.
Following the proceedings, complainant Ibrahim Kumbhar spoke to the media. Flanked by his legal team, including Advocate Mir Muhammad Magsi, he confirmed that arguments from both the petitioners and the respondents have been completed.
Kumbhar stated that the honorable court will now pronounce its verdict on the transfer application at a later date.
