In a significant display of preparedness, multiple security and emergency units conducted a comprehensive mock exercise today at the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Complex to bolster their response to any potential emergency situation.
The exercise, held following special directions from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, is part of a broader series of drills being conducted across the city to ensure the force is prepared for untoward incidents, a public relations officer confirmed.
The simulation involved a coordinated effort from various departments, with officials from the Islamabad Police, the Bomb Disposal Squad, paramedical staff, the Fire Brigade, and other law enforcement agencies all participating.
According to a statement, the primary objective of the drill was to test the ability of emergency services to control a situation by reaching a scene in a short time and taking timely action as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Authorities affirmed that the Islamabad Police is undertaking all possible efforts to secure the life and property of citizens and that no stone would be left unturned in this regard.
Members of the public are requested to report any information regarding suspicious activity by calling the Pukar-15 helpline.
