KARACHI: On the eve of Diwali, Sindh Government on Tuesday decided that full pay and allowances/pension for the month October 2022 shall be paid in advance to its all Hindu servants/ pensioners, including work-charged and contingent paid establishment, on 20th October 2022 instead of 1st November, 2022.
It may be noted that Diwali is one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus and Sikhs. The festival usually lasts five days, or six in some regions of India, and is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar month Kartika between mid-October and mid-November). One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”.
