Hindutva goons vandalise Asaduddin Owaisi’s Delhi residence

New Delhi, September 22, 2021 (PPI-OT):At least six members of Hindu Sena have been detained by the Delhi Police for vandalising the house of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi, located in New Delhi.

DCP (New Delhi district) Deepak Yadav told media that they have detained five men, who are residents of Northeast Delhi’s Mandoli area. He said that the Hindutva men “were agitated with his (Owaisi’s) comments.”

Hyderabad MP also alleged that the attackers assaulted Raju, the caretaker of the house who had been serving at the house for the last 40 years.

“The mob shouted communal slogans and threatened to kill me. My grandkids are living in fear now,” Raju said, who has filed a complaint with the police and hopes that action will be taken.

“Election Commission HQ is right next door to my house, Parliament Street police station is right across my house. The Prime Minister’s residence is 8 minutes away. If an MP’s house is not safe, then what message is Amit Shah sending?” Owaisi asked.

“Narendra Modi preaches to the world how we must fight radicalisation, please tell who radicalised these goons? If these thugs think that this is going to scare me, they don’t know Majlis (AIMIM) and what we are made of. We’ll never stop our fight for justice,” he added.
