Hurriyat leaders condole Mufti Bashir’s death

Srinagar, February 15, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Ghulam Nabi Waseem, Sajjad Ahmad and Tahoor Siddiqi, today, visited the house of Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam to express sympathy and solidarity with him and his family on the death of his father, Mufti Bashiruddin.

Speaking to the mourners, Shabbir Ahmed Dar said that late Grand Mufti Bashiruddin was a man of immense qualities who served the people with commitment and conviction. He was not only a religious scholar but also a social reformer and a great humanist, he added.

The Hurriyat leaders hoped the young Grand Mufti, Nasir-ul-Islam, will live up to the expectations of the people and will continue with the legacy of his father. They also visited SMHS hospital and enquire about the health of young students of Pulwama injured in a mysterious blast in a school.
