IG police calls on Chief Minister Punjab

Lahore, September 12, 2018 (PPI-OT): The new inspector general police Punjab Muhammad Tahir called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office on Wednesday. The Chief Minister congratulated Muhammad Tahir on his new assignment and extended good wishes to him. The Chief Minister said that IG police has been appointed purely on merit. People have great expectations towards the police force and it will be made a totally impartial institution which could serve the plaintiffs in the real sense.

The change in the police department should be visible to the people. It is hoped that you will promote new police culture, he added. IG police said that every possible step will be taken to improve the police system and duties will be performed in accordance with the principles of merit and justice. DIG (headquarters) Shahzada Sultan was also present on the occasion.
