IGP Vows to Bolster Security Strategy in Federal Capital at Community Iftar

The Inspector General of Police for the federal capital has underscored a commitment to enhancing the city”s security strategy, stating that law enforcement is actively working to safeguard citizens and their property.

According to a Capitial Police report today, the declaration was made during an Iftar dinner at D-Chowk, an event aimed at fostering solidarity between police, traders, and civil society.

Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi remarked that his presence at the gathering was intended to express solidarity with personnel on field duties and to refine the security framework based on their operational responsibilities. He emphasised the goal of maintaining a stable law and order situation to ensure residents feel secure.

The event, which included police officials, civil society representatives, and office bearers from the Chamber of Commerce, saw attendees commend the police force for its efforts. Participants lauded the authorities for preserving peace, securing commercial centres and public areas, and strengthening cooperation between law enforcement and the community.

Following the dinner, the IGP met with police personnel assigned to security details outside masjids during Fajr prayers. He conducted a personal review of the security arrangements in place for both masjids and Imambargahs.

Addressing the officers, the police chief affirmed that every member of the capital”s police force is determined to fulfil their obligations. He described the role of each individual in carrying out their responsibilities as commendable.

Expressing pride in the professionalism, bravery, and integrity of his force, IGP Rizvi encouraged the personnel to continue their duties with dedication. He directed them to maintain a high level of performance and enthusiasm in their official responsibilities throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
