LAHORE:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday denounced government’s crackdown on his party’s leaders and workers following announcement of the May 25 long march towards Islamabad.

In a series of tweets, Imran wrote: “Peaceful protest is the right of all our citizens. The brutal crackdown on PTI leaders and workers in Punjab and Islamabad has once again shown us what we are familiar with – the fascist nature of PMLN when in power. The present crackdown also raises serious questions about the Handlers.”

Khan said that it reveals the ‘fascist’ nature of the PML-N when in power while cautioning that these restrictive measures will further exacerbate the economic situation and push the country into a state of anarchy.

Reacting to the widespread raids by the authorities to arrest the PTI leaders and activists, the former prime minister took to his Twitter handle today condemning the undemocratic steps being taken by the authorities to thwart PTI march.
