Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has accused India of being behind the planning and strategy of recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan, which were successfully foiled by law enforcement agencies.
During a media talk, both Mr Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, commended the security personnel for their successful operation, reiterating a firm commitment to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, according to a statement issued on Sunday.
Mr Naqvi stated that the swift and courageous response of the security forces prevented the assailants from achieving their objectives. He asserted that these cowardly elements would be defeated again, just as they have been in the past.
Chief Minister Bugti described the attempted attacks as “extremely ruthless and cowardly”, highlighting that even women and children were not spared by the perpetrators.
Both officials praised the high morale of the injured individuals and the families of the martyrs. They gave assurances that the sacrifices made would not be in vain.
The Chief Minister concluded that no such act of terrorism could weaken the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces or the entire nation in its fight against extremism.
