Inqilabi demands release of Hurriyat leaders, activists from jails

Srinagar, October 03, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi has expressed concern over the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the territory and demanded their immediate release.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the plight of Kashmiri political detainees in jails as eye-opener for the United Nations and other international human rights organizations, adding that the jails authorities were playing with their lives.

He lamented that the authorities were not only treating them inhumanly in the jails but were also prolonging their illegal detention by not producing them in courts. He said that there was no legal or moral justification for keeping the prisoners in jails for long periods of time. The authorities are using such undemocratic tactics to break the freedom sentiment but they will never succeed in their nefarious designs, he added.
