Following a high-level meeting between Egyptian Interior Ministry officials and Pakistani leaders in Islamabad today, Pakistan and Egypt have pledged to promote cooperation in security, counter-terrorism and police training.
During the talks, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry discussed with the Egyptian delegation ways to strengthen bilateral relations. Mohsin Naqvi emphasised the importance of taking tangible steps to fortify ties with Egypt. He announced plans for a Pakistani delegation to visit Egypt soon, aiming to identify further opportunities for collaboration in areas of shared interest.
Talal Chaudhry highlighted the vast potential for cooperation in counter-terrorism, anti-narcotics, and internal security, signifying a mutual commitment to addressing these pressing issues collaboratively.
