Interior Minister Rasheed meets CM Buzdar

LAHORE: Federal Interior Minister Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed called Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office on Monday and discussed matters of mutual interest. Both took stock of development projects in Rawalpindi.

The CM agreed to the proposal of upgradation of Government Viqar-un-Nisa College for Women Rawalpindi to the university level and assured full cooperation in this regard. Progress on the Nullah Lai Expressway project also came under discussion and the chief minister mentioned that this project would prove a game-changer initiative for the city dwellers.

This project will also help in overcoming traffic conjunction while the government is striving to early complete other development schemes in Rawalpindi district, the CM added and further apprised the federal minister about anti-corona steps taken by Punjab government. Ahmed appreciated the steps and termed the public welfare initiatives as praiseworthy.
