IOK students offer funeral in absentia for Morsi

Srinagar, June 18, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, hundreds of Kashmir University students, faculty members and scholars in Srinagar, today, offered funeral prayers in absentia for former Egyptian President, Mohammad Morsi. Students and faculty members assembled outside the masjid of KU after Zuhr prayers and offered funeral prayers in absentia for Dr Mohammad Morsi.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, expressed grief and shock over the death of Mohammad Morsi. He condoled with the people of Egypt and the family of dec3eased leader and prayed eternal peace for the departed soul.

The APHC Chairman said when the dark clouds of death and destruction are seen everywhere particularly on Muslim nations, when blood of innocents is made inferior even to water, when high headedness and autocratic rule suffocated every conscious individual, especially people of Egypt, leaders like Mohammad Morsi emerge as visionary and torch bearers. His thunder and truthful roar, threatened every bad soul, who started to halt his progressive actions using every weapon in their arsenal.

Senior APHC leader and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in his statement said that democratically elected government of Mohammad Morsi was an eye sore for anti-Islamic lobbies and their stooges. Jammu and Kashmir Islami Tanzeem Azadi in a statement also expressed shock over the demise of Mohammad Morsi.
