An important performance review meeting was held on the first working day of the week under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon.
The meeting was attended by all Assistant Commissioners (ACs), magistrates, and other concerned officers. The participants reviewed the ongoing operations regarding price control and anti-encroachment drives across the capital.
Briefings were also given on actions taken against illegal indoor sheesha cafés. The meeting further reviewed efforts against professional beggary, wall chalking, and smoke-emitting vehicles. Under the open-door policy, the meeting assessed the frequency and effectiveness of public hearings.
The DC Islamabad emphasized the importance of meeting citizens on a daily basis, stating, “Every visitor to the offices must be heard and their issues resolved promptly.” Irfan Memon instructed that actions against illegal indoor sheesha cafés must continue without interruption.
He also directed strict daily enforcement against price manipulation and the use of plastic bags. The meeting reflected the administration’s commitment to proactive governance and improving service delivery across Islamabad.
