Jazz Hosts a Corporate Luncheon for Private Corporations and Media Fraternity

Islamabad, November 06, 2018 (PPI-OT): Jazz — the largest mobile network in Pakistan — recently organized and hosted a corporate luncheon in Islamabad for the leading figures from private corporations and media fraternity.

Aisha Sarwari, who is the newly appointed Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability for Jazz, was the host for this event.

This luncheon served as a way to discuss with the attendees what Digital Pakistan is all about and showcase to them Jazz’s role at the heart of it; ensuring masses benefit from the myriad of solutions on offer by digital technologies and communications.

The event kicked off with a brief networking sessions amongst the invitees which included the likes of journalist, Amber Shamsi, Abdul Aziz, Chairman of Apollo Telecom, Azfar Ahsan, CEO of Nutshell Conferences and Caspar Groeneveld, Director of Learning Solutions at Knowledge Platform.

The grand event commenced with a ‘Pulse Check’ activity where the guests were provided with digital clickers. The curiosity of these clickers ended when Ali Ibrahim, Jazz’s Head of Corporate Sustainability, took center stage and conveyed the functionality of the clicker.

Immediately after that, a few multiple choice questions appeared on the screen for the guests to answer. The questions were meant to gauge the understanding of those present regarding the Jazz brand. Guests were to answer these questions using the clicker, which had a 1 to 5 rating.

After the end of the Pulse Check activity, Aisha Sarwari took the stage to deliver a brief presentation on how digital technologies have enabled a better world around us. She used examples alongside to keep the presentation more engaging.

Aisha then called on stage four guests to take part in a panel discussion around Digital Pakistan. These panellists included:

Syed Ayaz, Group Account Director – Syntax Communications

Sadia Khurrum, Chief Customer Experience Officer – Jazz

A detailed discussion was then carried out amongst the four panellists where they discussed how digital has shaped their professional and personal lives. Giving examples, the panellists were able to share with the audiences ways in which the rapidly progressing digital world can be utilized for personal and professional growth.

Following the panel discussion, two startups — DeafTawks and Chiefling Tales — under the guidance of Jazz’s technical experts at the National Incubation Center were called on the stage.

Jazz’s Chief Digital Officer, Aamer Ejaz, then took to the stage next to brief the audience on Jazz’s digital endeavours, whereby lives of millions are being made easier and more connected.

Lastly, students from Islamabad Model School for Girls (IMCG) were invited on stage to talk about how the Jazz Smart School initiative has been able to ensure more students have fun while learning.

This Jazz Corporate Luncheon allowed industry stakeholders to network and discuss ways in which they all can play a part, like Jazz, in leading the country forward in an increasingly digital economy.
