JUI-F Larkana leader demands recovery of looted things

LARKANA:General Secretary, JUI-Fazal, Larkana district, Muhbat Ali Khuhro, in meeting with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) at his office on Thursday demanded recovery of all looted bikes and other goods, stolen material and maintenance of law and order situation in the entire district without loss of further time or else, he warned, that a massive protest demonstration will be held in the city.

He told the SSP that they want protection of the rights of the people and will continue to struggle for their fundamental rights. He told the SSP that due to the worsening law and order situation the citizens are feeling unprotected, thefts and snatching incidents are committed almost daily within the limits of various police stations but police have so far failed to curb crime and eliminate criminals.

He demanded of the SSP to remove corrupt and incompetent SHOs forthwith and post honest, dedicated and hard working officers in their place so that peace could be maintained. He said black sheep in the police, their supporters and facilitators be also brought to justice and patrolling must also be increased.

Khuhro further told the SSP that keeping in view the complaints and unrest of traders, Larkana Chapter of the JUI-Fazal has decided to hold a large protest demonstration which will be led by Maulana Nasir Mahmood Soomro, if the looted goods are not recovered soon and criminals are not arrested. SSP Imran Qureshi assured the JUI-F leader that lawlessness will soon be controlled in Larkana district adding his suggestions will be considered sympathetically so that unrest among the residents could end.

Meanwhile, residents of several villages complained to PPI that they pass every night sleepless as hardly a night passes without thieves. The residents who are mostly cattle owners of Chooharpur including Shams Shahani, Shahid Shahani, Sonu and others said that a water pumping machine was stolen from their agricultural land by unknown armed thieves but the villagers woke up and started aerial firing due to which they left. They said that next night two buffaloes were stolen from the village which are yet to be recovered by Mahotta police. They said they have never seen such a level of crime in their village in the past. They demanded peace and tranquility.
